Our Purpose:

We aid child development, engaging with minds and empower imagination through interactive creative services and active fun engagement. We have skilled and experienced staff all CRB checked and trained to engage with children. We fully believe and support the ethos that "Every Child Matters".

Story Telling:-

· Interactive Guided Lessons (school Time) £100

Minimum 30-60 min section where the children experience storytelling, and learn how to develop and tell stories interacting with the Storyteller.

· After school clubs (one off, daily or weekly) £70

Drumming:-

ATKA also supports children and young people to have understanding of different cultures and diversity through the use of painting, reading approriate cultural books and stories that have been translated into English.

During my study, I found out that, the classroom and the community lacked equality and diversity, making it diffucult for African pupils, teachers and families to integrate properly into the British culture and other cultures that exist in the United Kingdom. The UK is 'home' to a growing number of African communities and still very little is known about them. ATKA endeavours to incorporate the "Every Child Matters" Outcomes so that the child, whether at school, in the community, home, church, whether African or non-African, understands the differences in cultures and diversity. This will allow for greater unity, participation and understanding in the child's life enabling every child to enjoy, engage and achieve in all areas of their lives, thus eliminating indifference, intolerance and resistance. Awake To Know Africa is here to serve the community, by providing a service that helps local people to improve the quality of their lives and help solve the problem of children's integration in and outside classroom.

We can work with groups from five to fifty! and from ages zero (0) years to seventy (70+) years.
